Progress photo shots of the model

Progress images of the construction of Villa Muller by Aldof Loos. At first, as a group we had decided to make the model to scale of 1:50, but after gaining the measurements we decided that the scale 1:100 would suit us better in the long run.

Even though there was not so much team effort put together, at the end of the day the team got the job done. Blowing up the images to scale was alright, which didn't take that much effort, but getting started was a problem.

As with the image below we can observe the shell of the house been constructed, it did take a while to get the done. After that the main problem occurred, how to initiate the interior. Each level constructed for that section took at least a nice 1 hour. At the end when it was completed, just looking at it made t worth while.

Throwing an all-nighter to attack the model was a difficult task, especially when there wasn’t a section drawing for the section that I wanted to do. Thus, I made the base/site for the model. At the end it was a very fun and interesting model to construct and enjoyed working with the team.

From constructing this specific villa i have learnt that, analysing and background information is highly recommended before making the model or reading the plans, sections and elevations.
